guam... such a nice place!!
The island has a surfece of 549 km² and 164,000 citizens. its economy depends of turims (has one million visitors per year).guam's demography is composed by 25% of philipinean and 47% of chamorros.
guam oficial languages are english, japanesse and ... chamorro, below you will find some basic phrases in chamorro:
- hafa adai «Hello»
- hafa tatmanu hao? «how are you?»
- hayi na'an-mu? «what's your name?»
- si antonio yo' «i am Antonio»
- buenas días «good morning»
- buenas tatdes «good afternoon»
- buenas noches «good night»
- adiós «bye»
- asta agupa' «see you tomorrow»
- si yu'os ma'ase «thanks»
- buen probechu «nothing at all»
- amigo «friend»
- guahan «Guam»
as you can see chamorro is very similar to spanish but has some diferences probably due to the influence of japanesse or any kind of malasian...
