today i discovered a new game called streetwars.
streetwars is a 3 week long, 24/7, watergun assassination tournament that has already taken place in new york city, vancouver, vienna, san francisco, los angeles, and recently seems to have taken place at london.
at the starting date of the game you get an envelope containing the data you will need to find and kill your target(s): picture, address, name and contact information
once you have the info, your mission is to find and kill your target using water guns, water balloons or super soakers (the mission can be done alone or in group). and the moment you kill your target he or she or they will give you their target which will become your target now.
the game continues till you get the envelope with your picture and your info and then you get cash... the cash prize depends on the number on the number of people that plays but they ensure it could be arround 500$ or more and the game players are more or les 150.
there are some more simple rules such as that a kill is one shot, you can use any water weapon you can imagine and there are some save areas such as work place, buses, etc and the play zone is the whole city (in some cases such as a too big city, the area may be restricted)

According to an article from the independent, one of the players spent from 4am waiting outside their opponents home to get them on the way to work, another set up a fake job interview just so he could squirt someone and take them out, I've read elsewhere of people literally hiding in bins for hours just waiting to get their target.

But for Billy S - not his real name - a thirtysomething City IT specialist, talk of danger was overblown.

He spent the morning from 4am lying in wait for his target outside his London flat. Dressed in a business suit in order to blend in with his surroundings, he shot but narrowly missed but then as his quarry fled, he trained his fire on another member of the rival team who popped her head out of the window to see what was occurring. She too survived ...

far away, in the north pacific ocean there is a small island named guam. guam is an island in the group known as micronesia, the island was originaly discovered by magallanes and nowadays is part of the united states of america since the second world war (so it's president is george w. bush).The island has a surfece of 549 km² and 164,000 citizens. its economy depends of turims (has one million visitors per year).
guam's demography is composed by 25% of philipinean and 47% of chamorros.

tri-becator

this week i began a new cicle in my life... i have become tri-becator.
firls of all i will explain what a tri-becator is: a becator is a grant-holder, a scholar, someone still taking his grads and who is available to be used to any purpose by a company in exchange for some money, generaly not much more than 6 euros per hour. a tri-becator is someone who gets three becator "jobs" at onece. tri-becators are a rare and hard to fins specie and i have become one of this few mad people :O
since monday 3rd of july i work for atos origin in addition of my previous two jobs (photoform graphic designer and gits developer).
for the moment i am just geting started in atos and i have started taking a look at how they work and reading some oracle faqs to get to oracle erps.
this tri-becator situation means i will have less time to post silly things and i know that those thousands or even millions of peple who usually read my blog will be sad for this but i will do my best to please all of you!!!

due to its new version of windows, microsoft has released a new version of windows messenger which is available to those who wanna try it (link) . i have installed it yet, and i am just testing it and initially there only seems to appear some skin changes, but if you use it you will find some interesting changes:
it offers you some packages with emoticons, sounds and background images to use
overmore there is a great change in conversation windos: if you write two or more messages and the person you are talking havent written anything, all your texts apears grouped as if it had been written in just one messages, i mean it groups your messages so your name doesn't apear every time you write and send anything (similar to how google talk works)
this new version offers you a system to share files via sharing folders and free pc-to-pc calls (i haven't used these two extras but i supose pc-to-pc call works like skype more ro less. the case of shared files is different... as microsoft explains, the idea is that you are now able to send a folder to your friend and from that moment any change you make in that folder will be syncronized with the folder created in your friends computer.

i have discovered an invent that will redefine de industry of folding t-shirts (if this industry exists.... i am not sure at all...). this machine is really easy to create and you will find it usefull. you only need some cardboard, some adhesive tape, a ruler and a blade and in some minutes you will have your own folding machine!!!

today i heard at a tv show called arucitys that a playboy bunny has recently won lots of money at wall street and it was told as a good new... the show is based on a sit arround talking between some guys and some girls; when the presenter told to his colaborators about this new there was two clear positions:

first the guys sayd that this was a good to probe that pretty girls are smart too (even the blond ones) and that it was a great new. but then the girls from the show say that it's quite probable that this bunny girl just used privileged information and wondered who knows what, in the name of good, has had to do (the bunny) to get this information and they even insinuated she probably had to go bed with anyone.

this made me think about a recent conversation with nyd and didi where we talked about what a girl is able to do to impress not her boyfriend but her boyfriends exgirlfriend or even other unknown girls.
women wear make-up, unconfortable clothes and high-heeled shoes not to feel fine with them selves (let's be realistic, high-heeled shoes will never be confortable and continously having to be take care about cleavage is not practical). they do this to get all glances while they pass by you and to make other girls to feel envy, and when they aren't the center of the world they criticize the girls who is the center of all grances at that moment.

recently i have discovered a tv show called john doe.
the serie is about a misterious man who awakes at an uninhabited island next to seatle. he has no memory of him self (like some kind of amnesia) but knows any thing you could ever in a encyclopedia. the show tells the story of this guy
at a beggining it could seem a too much freak (for example he only needs to remember to himself how to drive a helicopter and instantaneously he can drive it ( <- don't know why but matrix came to my mind... ) but after two or three episodes it begins to get interesting.
it's a pity the show resulted not very interesting at the end of it's first season (the last episodes script seems to be too poor) and the producers canceled the show...

this weekend me and nyd went to watch a play at "teatre joventud" (a theatre at l'hospitalet). the play was performed by "los modernos" and is called "un antes y un despues".
it was so funny!!!! this theatre group are genious of the humor!!!
i laugh loudly for more than an hour!!!

los modernos is a theatre gropu composed by two actors (Alejandro Orlando and Pedro Paiva) who perform a play based on double sense words and expresions wich apears in the show in a speedy way: if you don't keep an eye on what they say second by second you could miss lots of jokes. the play is based just in what this two actors say; no extras or scenery, just both of them wearing a white shirt, a black jacket, skirt and a pair of clogs.
in this show, as they say, the actors put on the mask of the public and the public puts on the mask of the actor and when the play ends everyone returns to his own mask and go to the streets.

howto: siesta

in spain there is a habit wich consists in taking a sleep in half day normaly for 15 minutes or up to 30 minutes, ofcourse the duration depends on each one and can even be 2 hours long. in fact, recent studies have proved doctors the benefits of having it so they recomend it encouragely. we call it SIESTA
to make the sieste really efective it is important to do it in a properly way so i have decided to write a howto in order to spread my siestas knowledge to the world (and believe me, i am an expert in this subject since i have taken lots of siestas in my still short live)
there are some steps you should follow:
first of all it is really very important to find an apropiate place to have the siesta, if you decide to have your siesta in your car while you are driving it's very probable you will have an accident (as you can see siestas are a very dangerous art). in my opinion the best place to have a siesta is liying on a confortable sofa (if it is posible, the sofa should be a non leather sofa in order to avoid ending glued to it).
the second step is to ensure the place you select has a suitable ambient for the siesta: it must be a hot ambient (if it is not you could wake up in middle-siesta frozen) and for this porpose it's important to have a blanket in case the ambient is not hot enought.
the third step is to ensure there is nothing interesting to watch or listen where you are going to have your siesta. we don't want to waste the chance of having a good sleep because we selected an aparently bad movie that becomes interesting!! liying down by people talking could be also risky: their conversation could be interesting or too noisy.
the last point consist on selecting a good moment for the siesta, the best moment is after eating (both in middle-morning or in afternoon) because in this way you will favour your digestion in addition of waking up a lot more relaxed.

as you can see, havin a siesta is not an easy thing and should never be done without care.
and remember kids, don't try having a siesta by your own, be carefull and take care of having some adult with you in order not to get harmed ;)

some time ago, talking about the agreement between apple and intel to make apple computers using intel technology, i realized what was in steve jobs' mind: it was clear to me that he was trying to do... make apple computers the first choice in computer users. and the only way to make this posible is makin osx and windows live together in one computer and in addition he had to make this marvelous computer as much pretty as posible. since mac mini appeared the second point was completed (it's so pretty and small!!!) and this week apeared in the newspapers the new apple creation: the boot camp.

boot camp is a small software (just 83 Mb) which provides apples users to install and run windows in an intel powered mac. there is a public beta version of boot camp available yet!!!
boot camp allows you to create a windows partition and on boot you can choose to run either osx or windows. moreover, boot camp burns a cd which contains all the drivers needed by windows to run in your apple computer.
once you have installed it, it's as easy as hold down the option key at startpu and choose the operative sistem desired and windows will run natively in your mac.

recently i've been listening a song from depeche mode callet personal jesus (elink)... it's a quite good song despite i don't like this group in general, but i have to admit it's a god song, even though i have listenet two versions i found in emule: one version is played by jonny cash (elink) and the others is by marilyn manson (elink). in my opinion both versions improve the original
jonny cash' version is the most diferent version, it gives you a sad feeling listening it and is made in a acustic way that gives it a sober touch
marilyn manson's version is much more alike to depeche mode's one but without that 80's way of playing music... it's more gothic and with a harder sound and it really sounds great!!!

one of the main problems in army way of acting is that they are not good in selecting soldiers... i'll explain my self: army usually rejects thos people not enought good to fight in a war, they want you!! but only if you are a perfect human speciment, leaving at home those labeled as unfit (unusefull) who are men with fisical or psychological problems, people with a low intelectual mind (thes last group of people is a rare elimination by the way... is it so much dificult to shot a gun or run towars the enemy with a sword, knive o whatever they use for full contact war??) and of couse, women in general. and this raises a problem... what happens whit the human being in case of masive destruction or genocide in a war?? there only are left, in resume, pretty women and genetically unusefull men!!!

these days is taking place the "3gsm world congress 2006" and due to this congress i have realized of how many movile technologies there are at barcelona streets. i decided to count them and the results are quite interesting: in my tragect from "plaça catalunya" to "zona universitat" (which is about half of barcelona) and just looking at one side of the streets i counted 59 movile advertisings, 9 "just frinens" movie advertisment and 21 assorted advertisments. this means that there are twice as much movile adds!! i am not sure if this invasion of movile advertisments is due to de 3gsm congress or to the nowadays movile technologies craze. lets wait till the congress is over to decide and meanwhile... lets buy some moviles!!!!!

today i have decided to talk about those great friends of all of us who serve us all mornings: the alarm clocks.
the alarm clock is that thing we need to wake up every morning on time to get ready to go to work. we use it to get some company at nights with its radio. and of course we focus all our rage all mornings when it remembers us we should wake up if we don't want to be fires from our loved jobs. we program the alarm clock every night so it will wake up in the morning and after doing his job perfectly we curse it and we hit it with violence to shut it up, pool alarm clock...
and thos few days it does not work properly and doesn't wake us on time we also curse it because its too late and we wont get on time at work!!
if i was an alarm clock i wold have cometed suicide yet... imagine knowing every day of your life you will have to wake up some seconds before your master to shout at him and getting a thump in response for your well done job!!
as far as I am concerned i love my alarm clock and treat it with care every morning because i know it will be there when i will need to wake me up and help me not to get late to my office or my appointments. nevertheless i thing i will have to buy a new alarm clock soon because the one i have nowadays is begining to be to much old and does not work properly, but don't worry my folks, i will give it a proper goodbye ;)

these days i am being in exams period so i spend much more time in the public library than at any other place and spend so much time studying that i can't even post any thing (i don't feel like it...) but last week happened to me something i must share with the rest of the world: some time ago came to me a pps file where was explained a situation in men bathroom and you were having to choose how to behave in that situation (choosing which urinal you prefered) and last week i found myself in a real prove of this curious pps (and for 2 chances!!)

one day at the library and i feel like having to go to the bathroom for peeing. i enter the bathroom and i find 3 urinals (the 3 of them empty) so y decide to choose one in an extreme of the urinals row near a wall. after a few secons another buy enters the bathroom and (obviously) chooses the urinal places at the other extreme of the row so there is only one free urinal placet between us... and then comes a third guy and what would you do in this situation?? he decided to wait until one of us finished to pee in a urinal placed in an extreme of the row!!! jijiji (men behaviour verified)

some days after this firls experience i went to another bathroom with the same sketch of urinals but one of the extreme urinals was really dirty (mud in the floor) so i choosed the other extreme urinal and the comes a second guy... what to do?!?! of course the correct choose is to wait for the extreme urinal instead of using the one in the middle or use the dirty one and the guy decided not to wait and used the dirty one (i supose his decision was influenced by the wish of not looking likd an ashole waiting for the urinal instead of using the free one) and for second time men behaviour has been verified!!!

until here arrives my urinaries chronicles... keep waiting for more in a coming post ;)

recently i went so the cinema to watch "the chronicles of narnia" which is a disney movie for kids, it's a good movie but just for kids, i mean its about adventures and things like this but in a disney way so but it was fine. i went with pherse to the cinema and we were going to watch any movie (no matter which one) and narnia was the only one which resulted interesting for both of us nevertheless the best thing was a movie teaser we were able to watch before the movie started: the ice age 2 teaser. that one with the piranhas!!! it's amazing what scrat can do to protect his acorn!!! here you can get the teaser.

today, watching a post at microsiervos where i learned that the human eye is likea 1,5 megapixels in thes best cases and this made me think about this known cuote: "its better an image than a thousand words". is it really true?? lest see it:
the pots says the eye can capture about 200 megapixels of resolution but the brain only gets a capture of 1 or 1,5 megapixels so despite we could get a lot of information from this image we only proces 1,25 megapixels in average. this are 1,25 millions of pixels (pixel = picture element). since a pixel can have 256 diferent values we need one byte to represent the pixel. so we need 1.25 millions of bytes to represent what is an image to our brain (which is in resume what is important because the rest of the information given by the image ends lost in its way to our brain) and this 1.25 millions of bytes are 10 millions of bits (10.000.000 bits). now that is clear who many bits represents an image to us (the humans) let's talk about words: as we all know (and those who still aren't conscious of it will learn it now) a word is a 32-bit length unit in computerinsg. now that this is clear it's clear that just dividing the 10 million bits needed to represent the image by the 32 bits which compose a word we will get how many word is an image: 10.000.000 bits /32 bits=312.500 words ->313.000 words
quod erat demostratum: an image equivals to almost 313 thousands of word

this past week i've been ill (i mean really ill: stomachache, vomits, headache, fever and any part of my body was in pain) so i've been in bed the whole week and i had time to waste watching tv so now my brain is a little bit rotten. i have seen lots of southamerican soap operas wich are really male chauvinist such as "pasion de gavilanes" or "los plateados". i think the creators of these soap operas followed some rules wich are:
1. make a casting to find som guys and girls who would be able to apear in a bad erotic movie (you know: perfect bodies and no brain).
2. follow all the topics of male chauvinism:
-> girls must be or like virgins or like whores, must be obliging girls at kitchen and sluts in the bed
-> guys will be rude, hard workers, ladies' man
3. both girls and guys must wear as few clothes as posible
4. be a fashion victim: the soap operas were made a year ago i supose so it's set in a westers look
5. there must be a bad guy who will be chauvinist as posible and of course a real and perfect motherfucker...
and at this point i will stop and take a while to talk about emilio gallardo from "los plateados", this character is really amaizing!!! he is the bad guy. he treats girls like shit. uses them when he wants and the worst thing is that the girls fall seduced by gallardo. in an scene from a chapter i saw he was seducing a girl in his office smeling her and telling her rude thins (like a caveman) when a guy called his door so in a moment gallardo wall pulling the girl rudely from her head to hide her under his desk, the scene would be perfect for a porn movie and i even was expecting him to take sit and hear the sound of a fly of trousers opening but he decided to go away with the guy and left her under the desk... then i realized it was not a porn movie... but it was close.
as you can see watching tv make your brain go into thousands of pieces and i am not sure i will ever recover...
mora of the post: don't watch tv kids or you will be brain harmed, play killing games as much bloody as posible, maybe you will end mad and killing everybody but at least you will treat the girls in a properly way ;)

a new search engine is born... it's from a telefonica owned company called tpi which is involved in publicity and other kinds of information; am not quite in favour of timofonica so this post is not to promote the engine but i found it and i think it's design is really good, i mean i liked a lot the image of the web: it's really simple and easy to use. in addition i will say this engine is a little bit diferent from others: the engine not only makes an internet search but also performs a search at tpi's database so it promotes usefull information too. the engine is made to compete google and i am not sure if it will be posible but who knows... meanwhile i will continue using google.

this week i discovered a new manga serie with is really interesting: ボボボーボ・ボーボボ Bobobō-bo Bō-bobo (sometimes known as Box7 or Bp^7 to American fans) is a manga by Yoshio Sawai.
it seems to be a kids manga but created by a high team of freaky guys!!!
it's really amazing how rare this manga is: bo -bobo is the star of the serie, he is an adventurer who learned to "hear the voices of the hair", and can command his own body hair (including his nose, chest, and armpit hair) to perform various martial arts including "true martial art of Nose Hair" which consists on using your nose hair (wich developes till get as big as 2 harms) and attack your opponent using them and there are several technics which involve this art in the manga!!!!
there is even a movie of the serie: "In the year 300X AD, the age in which Earth was to be ruled by the Margarita Empire had come. The emperor, Tsuru Tsururiina IV, in order to make everyone in the world be bald, sent out an army of hair hunters. Hair hunting was going on all over the place."
as you can see this manga could become one of those absurd tv-series to become memorable and mark a hole generation (bobo-generation maybe??)

midnight in barcelona: after a funny supper at an italian restaurant uri and me wait for a night-bus and then apears one, we make the signal to indicate we want to get the bus but the bus-driver decides that the bus-stop was not atrantive to him or something else so jumps it!! this is the second time in a week that a tmb bus jumps a bus stop without any reason and not taking any regard of the user, and it's interesting to think about one thing: this users are who pay the driver salary!!!
after lots of hard work to recompose our faces after the surprise of watching a bus jumping the bus stop (we where like flabbergasted) we decided to call the information phone to make a complaint for this great and marvelous service (i am being sarcastic) and we find the number 010 as the unique information phone for the night service so we called to the 010 but you won't believe what happened then: this service phone only works from 08 till 22 so as you will imagine it's a little dificult to make a complaint or a help request during the service!!!, but unfortunately for the tmb we found another service phone at a daily bus stop: 012, which is a 24-hour phone and now i know how to complaint!!!
the rage of sata will fall over them!!!!

in those days spiderman was just one more superhero but nowadays its amaizng how famous he has become... there is even a japanese serie which is available in DVD.
to end this post i will say there are no proves of spider-man homosexuality despite there are some rumours of a gay relation between spider-man and Green Goblin and some people admit having watchet a movie were Green Goblin is terrorizing a city, when Spiderman intercepts him. They're duking it out up on the roof of a building. Then during a brief pause, Green Goblin says, "Man, why are we fighting all the time?"
Spiderman says, "I dunno, i was just wondering the same thing..."
They stand there looking at each other for a few seconds, and then the swanky porno music starts playing... ;)
but there are no conclusive proves so it must be just a rumour.

Thanks to sisi today i discovered i am made to solve others troubles via my incredible and unique synthetic artificial troubleshooting system!!! now that i have the confirmation i am able to mount an advising buffet to help all those people in need of someone like me... and yes my folks, it will be really expensive to all of you (i am made to help people but i am not bloody fool and someone will have to pay my lamborghini diablo, my mansion and all my vices)

yesterday pherse and i were in a bus in barcelona and we were supossed to meet uri on the bus (had to get the same bus i was) but i was imposible... the bus driver decides that bus stop was unpleasant for him so he decides to skip the bus stop so we had to get out of the bus in the followin stop and med uri at the street with the consequent waste of time waiting for another bus... wy do bus drivers believe they can do as they want?!?! i think that tmb services are as poor as they can do them so user won't use them, at rush-hour you must go in a bus wich looks more like a cann of sardines, in addition is obvious that when lots of people are together in a small place there apears a strange smell which can remember you a dead pig after a month of rotting. at a less overcrowded hour it seem the bus drives has become fernando alonso and you get in a race to get destination as soon as posible so it's possible to make a 45-minutes way in 15 or 20 minutes!!! moreover the tickets are quite expensive (1,15 euros a single ticket). resuming: it's a really por service for such an important city like barcelona

i don't know exactly what i was looking for but today i found this!!! it's tuks dressed as flash gordon!!! yes, flash gordon, that 70's super hero and with a really freack 80's movie which surelly modified the way of viewing other planets life to all of us ;), i must say this flash-tuks doesn't look any smart at all with those crossed eyes and seems it's not on well fit, maybe tuks needs some exercise before taking care of universe problems

i am back to life... after 3 days of illness i have complete recovery and i am ready to do work (most of it delayed). during the cold i had to study for an exam of computering architecture and it was hard to do... it's amazing how hard is to study with a tap instead of nose, i was like having a waterfall in my nose and it's imposible to read in this conditions. you waste more time blowing your nose during a cold than when you are in good conditions and waste time going to the fridge to check if there is any new thing to eat or drink even if you know that nobody has gone to shop and placed food or drinks in the fridge... why do we keep going to the fridge, opening the door and inspecting the hole fridge to check if now there's any new thing to take?? and moreover.. why we don't realize it's imposible to apear new foot in it considering we are older to believe in magic or fairies?? do we really believe the fridge will be able to make apear what we are loking for?? and furthermore... what are we expecting to find in the fridge?? the pass we are trying to get in the exams?? but instead we keep going to the kitchen, and checking the fridge like hypnotized people looking that marvelous light comming from the inner of the fridge... sometimes i have even wondereded if there is any kind of hypnotic effect in that light placed in the fridge by a world conspiracy preparec by the fridge sellers in coordination with the supermarket owners to make us go one time and another time to the fridge and maybe we will end taking any thing so we consume it without beeing our first choice and increasing the consumism this way... who knows... let's think about it

yes... you've read well, it seems that soon we all his citizens will have news from the dark side!!! (well at the end of the sata he was at the light side but it's clear he will allways be in the dark side in our harts)
a group of star wars freaks are developing a short movi based on a novel by "Ron Marz" where Darth Vader will have to take use of all her power to beat a menace to the empire. the short is in post-production process and you can get the trailer at www.vaderextincion.com as well as lots of images of the movie. in the web you will fins some news about the movie; recently they have published a really gorgeus new: Constantino Romero (known as the voice of the darth vader spanish version (and clint eastwood voide too)) will cooperate in the production!!!!

death's emancipation

it's not well nown by people but yes... death emancipated several years ago and ... yes of course, death encountered the same problems all youngs find when they emancipate:
the first problem was to find an extensive flat to settle and it was really hard because its not easy to create a hell in a 30 m2 flat... so he needed all his talent to this task (and i supose it's obvious that without his lawyers team death never could had been able to get that great evil-little flat)
not doing quite well the laundry work was another problem of death's emancipation starts (that's the reason why some nights death wears in pink). death had to learn how to cook too, so took cooking classes and yes... it was hard at the begining (death's firts foods were horrible and nobody in hell wanted them but who is able to reject death's invitation?? so lot's of little evil minions died in those days), luckily nowadays death's cooking has improved a lot and it's even eatable!!! and it's enljoyed by everyone at family dinners (god loves death's "hainanese" wich is a food receip of chicken rice)
actually death is thinking about changing itself to a 45 m2 flat because needs some extra space for it's childrem but this will be another story ;)
